Tenors & Strings Extravaganza

The Hutchins Consort travels to Sun Valley, Idaho to perform with Three Tenors at the new Pavilion at the Sun Valley Resort. For tickets and more information about this concert performance, please go to Sun Valley Opera Association's website at: www.sunvalleyopera.com.

This program will feature some of the greatest musical works composed for tenors and strings. The Hutchins Consort and these three Tenors originally premiered a shorter version of this program this past January 9 & 10 on our regular series at The Neurosciences Institute, La Jolla & St. Mark Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach. The Hutchins Consort will also perform a Musicale of their own original music, the afternoon before this concert, on Saturday, June 27th from 3:00-5:00pm at a beautiful private home in Sun Valley. • The program offers a broad spectrum of the musical influences of women in history. All women composers, including Hildegaard von Bingam, Fanny Mendelssohn, Nadia Boulanger, Joan Tower (Fanfare for an Uncommon Woman), and a tribute to Anna Bach (Johann's wife) Also, a work written by Mexican composer, Consuelo Velazquez when she was 15 years old, the popular song, Besame Mucho!
